In the Bryansk region, seven people were convicted for organizing illegal migration

The Dyatkovsk city court of the Bryansk region sentenced seven members of an organized group who helped foreigners obtain documents for a long stay in Russia through fictitious paternity. Three defendants received real terms, four more - conditional.

According to the court, from 2021 to 2022, the group members searched for foreigners who needed documents for legal residence in the country for money. They helped to formalize fictitious paternity in relation to the children of Russian women. Foreigners could use the obtained certificates to apply for a residence permit.

The three convicts were sentenced to imprisonment for terms ranging from three to four years and six months while serving their sentences in a general regime colony. They were also fined from 150 to 400 thousand rubles.

Four more were sentenced to two to three years of probation with probation of up to two years and six months. The amount of fines ranged from 150 to 200 thousand rubles.
