In the bay on Solovki there was a spill of diesel fuel

At Solovki there was a spill of diesel fuel. The Prosecutor’s office of the Arkhangelsk region began the inspection.

On October 11, during the production of earthworks by a contractor in the village of Solovetsky near the embankment of the Bay of Favor, a fuel pipeline broke through. As a result, diesel fuel spilled on the ground with getting into the water area.

The leak was fixed on the spot. Rescue service has set up a boom fence. Work has been organized to pump out contaminated water with a vacuum installation and collect oil products.

Based on the results of the inspection, the prosecutor’s office will assess the actions or inaction of the contractor and the timeliness of the measures taken to eliminate the emergency situation.
