In Buryatia, the number of crimes decreased by 17%

In Buryatia, from January to September 2026, 10,265 crimes were registered - 17% less than in the same period last year, when 12,398 cases were recorded. Such data is given by the prosecutor's office of the republic.

The most noticeable decrease in the crime rate was noted in Kurumkan district by 40%, Tunkinsky by 33%, Zaigraevsky by 29%, Jidinsky by 28%, Ivolginsky by 26.5%, Kyakhtinsky by 26%, Mukhorshibirsky by 24%. In the railway area of Ulan-Ude, the indicator decreased by 20%.

The number of serious and especially serious crimes decreased by 24%. The number of murders and attempted murders decreased by 26.5%, cases of intentional infliction of serious harm to health - by 18%, rape and attempted rape - by 59%, robberies - by 53%.

Also, the thefts decreased by 12%, fraud by 26%, and crimes related to drug trafficking by 22%.

The number of crimes committed using information and communication technologies or in the field of computer information decreased by 32%. At the same time, the damage from them exceeded 330 million rubles.
