Jankoy police uncover mobile phone theft from 62-year-old local

Dzhankoy police uncovered the theft of a mobile phone from a 62-year-old local resident. The suspect was his 37-year-old ex-lover, who took the gadget in the hope that the man will come home for him and this will be the reason for the resumption of communication. This was reported by the press service of the Interior Ministry in Crimea.
The man appealed to the police after he discovered the disappearance of a mobile phone worth about 10 thousand rubles. The day before, he invited a former acquaintance to his home. In the evening, they spent communicating and drinking alcohol, and after the guest left the host found that the phone had disappeared.
The operatives established the identity of the suspect and detained a previously convicted 37-year-old local resident. During a search at her place of residence, police found the stolen phone and returned it to the owner.
She said she didn’t take her mobile phone with her to sell it or use it. The woman hoped that the victim would come to her home to pick up the phone, and this would be an occasion for continued communication and possible reconciliation. However, the man decided to go to the police.
The police opened a criminal case under part 2 of article 158 of the criminal code of the Russian Federation — “theft”. The woman faces up to five years in prison. In respect of her, a preventive measure was chosen in the form of a subscription not to leave.
