In Efremov, the court ordered the administration to provide comfortable housing to a man with a disability of the III group, who has been living in an emergency house for eight years. The lawsuit was made by the interdistrict prosecutor's office, told "MK in Tula" in the supervisory authority.
The inspection showed that the man is registered as in need of improvement of living conditions. The apartment building in which he lives was recognized as emergency and subject to demolition in 2018. However, over the years, the municipal authorities have not resolved the issue of resettlement.
In May 2026, the prosecutor’s office made a submission to the head of the administration, demanding to eliminate violations. But the situation has not changed, so the prosecutor went to court. As a result, the municipality was obliged to provide the man with a comfortable living room that meets sanitary and technical requirements.
Earlier, MK in Tula reported on new measures to support disabled people in the field of employment. The government of the Tula region approved the procedure for special events that should help people with disabilities in finding work. The document was signed by Deputy Governor Alexey Stepin. It replaced the rules in force since 2015 and takes into account the requirements of federal and regional legislation on employment and social protection of persons with disabilities.
