In Glubok and Lepel districts detained underwater poachers: seized fish, crayfish and car
In the Glubok and Lepelsky districts, violators were detained for illegal underwater hunting: one had seven pikes, two lines and 65 crayfish, and two had four.

In the Glubok and Lepelsky districts, violators were detained for illegal underwater hunting: one of them seized pike, two lines and 65 crayfish, the other two had 9.3 kg of fish, the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Animal and Vegetable World under the President of Belarus reported.

The first case occurred on October 5. Employees of the Glubok interdistrict inspection checked information about the violation on the lake Psuya Gluboksky district. There revealed the fact of illegal fishing of lake-river fish and crayfish.
In the dark, the citizen was underwater fishing in a wetsuit. He used a prohibited gun - an underwater rifle with a harpoon for six teeth, as well as a lighting device. The offender found seven individuals of pike and two individuals of line with a total weight of 7.2 kg, as well as 65 individuals of narrow-toed cancer with a total weight of 6.6 kg.
The investigative and operational group of the Glubok ROVD was called to the place. A wetsuit, underwater rifle, harpoon, lantern, fish, crayfish and a car were seized. This fact is being checked.
The second case occurred on October 7, 2026. Employees of the Lepelsk interdistrict inspection detained two citizens. They chose a prohibited place for underwater hunting - Lake Kakisino, Lepel district - and ignored the ban on underwater hunting in the dark, highlighting the fish with lanterns.
The offenders illegally obtained four individuals of pike, one individual of linen and two individuals of red pepper with a total weight of 9.3 kg. In respect of the detainees, an administrative process has been initiated under Part 1 of Article 16.25 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Belarus.
The State Inspectorate reminds: underwater hunting is allowed only in daylight hours, if there is a certificate for the right to underwater hunting and a valid membership card of the RGOO “BOOR”, and only on those water bodies that are included in special lists approved by the regional executive committees.
