In Gomel on the territory of the plant there was a leak of ammonia: rescuers eliminated the emergency

Tonight, October 6, the units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations went to the message about the leakage of about 50 kg of ammonia in the Gomel chemical plant. The incident occurred on the open area of the warehouse, reports the Ministry of Emergency Situations, writes sb.by.

Rescuers stopped the release of the substance, blocking the valve. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, together with the staff of the facility, carried out work on vapor deposition and ammonia neutralization. After measurements, the maximum permissible concentration of ammonia vapor in the air was not recorded.

No casualties. The cause of the incident is being established. The work of the Gomel City Commission for Emergency Situations was organized. There were 13 units of equipment and 46 employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
