In Grodno region, law enforcement officers seized more than 35 kg of drugs during preventive measures

During the operational and preventive measures to combat drug trafficking in Grodno region seized more than 35 kg of drugs. This was reported in the press service of the Internal Affairs Department of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee, writes sb.by.

During the monitoring of drug addicts, which took place from 19 to 27 September, traffic police officers identified citizens with driving licenses and not limited in the right to drive vehicles. In addition, during the events, law enforcement officers stopped the drug supply channel and seized more than 35 kg of narcotic drugs from illegal trafficking.

“The main objective of the campaign was to reduce illicit drug trafficking, including among young people. The main efforts of law enforcement officers were aimed at preventing offenses by subordinates. Targeted preventive work was carried out with this category of citizens: citizens undergoing treatment for addiction, as well as minors under supervision in medical institutions, were checked at the place of residence, the ministry said.
