In Guatemala, a 15-year-old girl who her family thought was dead suddenly regained consciousness during a farewell ceremony. The incident occurred on October 10, according to the Daily Mail.
The teenager lost consciousness on the way to the medical center. Her father, an evangelical pastor, stopped the car, checked her daughter's pulse and breathing, and, failing to find them, decided she was dead. Since the doctors did not examine the girl, the family did not call an ambulance. The family bought a coffin, returned home and gathered their loved ones for the funeral.
At the moment of farewell, the mother bent over the coffin and noticed a movement inside. The girl opened her eyes and sat down, putting the whole family in shock. Her family gave her water and helped her out.
The teenager herself said that before she lost consciousness, her heart became very sick, it became heavy, after which she “disconnected, as if she fainted.” Now the girl is conscious and recovering at home. She described her family as a miracle, and the family tends to regard her salvation as divine intervention.
