In Ivanovo 88-year-old pensioner became a victim of fraudsters
Only after the transfer of money, the pensioner contacted relatives and realized that she had been deceived.
The woman got a call from a stranger who called herself a daughter-in-law in a crying voice and reported a serious accident in Moscow with victims. To avoid criminal liability, the caller asked to urgently transfer a large sum.
The old woman believed and agreed to help. Soon a courier came to her house, to whom she gave 300 thousand rubles. But the scammers did not stop there. After a while, the pensioner called a man who introduced himself as an investigator. He said the money was not enough and demanded another 300,000. The woman again followed the instructions and gave the same amount to the same courier.
The total damage amounted to 600 thousand rubles. Only after the transfer of money, the pensioner contacted relatives and realized that she had been deceived. On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under the article fraud on a large scale. Police are searching for the courier and his accomplices.
