In the Khlevensky district, police detained a 67-year-old resident of Voronezh, who sold a non-existent tractor to a buyer from the Caucasus for 1.3 million rubles. The scammer faces up to ten years in prison, reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Lipetsk region.
The victim of the fraud was a 43-year-old resident of Dagestan, who found an ad for the sale of a heavy truck in the network. Having believed the pictures of someone else's passport and an attractive price, the man came to a deal in a roadside cafe near Khlevny. The buyer gave the seller the entire amount in cash and took the papers to the tractor, without even examining the car itself.
At home, the man realized that the documents were fake and went to the police. The detained Voronezh admitted guilt and returned 600 thousand rubles, the investigation of the case continues.
