In Kizlyar, a fisherman was convicted for illegal fishing for 1 million rubles

The Kizlyarsky district court sentenced a resident of Kizlyarsky district for illegal catching of aquatic biological resources with damage of more than 1 million rubles, the press service of the prosecutor's office of Dagestan reported.

It was established that he illegally caught 871 fish of partial breed and one sturgeon in the waters of the Caspian Sea near the village of Krainivka.

The court imposed a sentence of 3 years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period of 2 years. The state confiscated two fishing nets with a length of 100 meters and two small-sized vessels of the rubber boat type.

The prosecutor's office sent a lawsuit to the court to recover from the guilty damage caused.
