In the Kursk region will consider the case of large-scale theft of livestock from refugees

The Bolsoldatsky district court of the Kursk region accepted a criminal case initiated on the theft of cattle.

According to the investigation, the Western-style story occurred at the end of June 2025, when a resident of the village of Rzhava stole a herd of cows belonging to Sujan refugees. The victims were forced to flee their homes due to shelling from Ukraine, leaving livestock in the village.

A special circumstance in this case was that the accused attracted his relatives to the theft of animals - his wife, father and friend. He deceived them by saying that he was distilling his own herd, thereby misleading them.

Livestock owners suffered damage in excess of 880 thousand rubles. The actions of the attacker are qualified as theft on a large scale, causing significant damage, according to paragraph “c” of part 3 of article 158 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation. Currently, the issue of accepting the case for production is being resolved, the press service of the courts of the Kursk region told.
