In Kuzbass, a woman accused of fraud, because of which elderly people lost several million rubles, will appear in court

According to the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation of the case against the accomplice of the criminal group has been completed in the region. She stole from pensioners from different regions of the Russian Federation jewelry and cash in the amount of more than 4.5 million rubles. In the period from March to April of this year, two victims aged 68 and 88 addressed the police of the Kemerovo region. They said that they gave the attackers funds and jewelry totaling more than 1.8 million rubles.

Law enforcement officers detained a courier in Novosibirsk. It turned out that the victims of her actions were five elderly citizens living in Kemerovo, Astrakhan and Barnaul.

The method of deception remained unchanged: the victims were called by unknown persons and warned about the alleged threat to their savings. Criminals urged pensioners to transfer cash and valuables to the courier for their alleged declaration. The total amount of damage exceeded 4.5 million rubles.

The defendant acted within the framework of the scheme: at the specified addresses, she took money and things from people, and then handed them over to the commission store.

The case file has been sent to court. The accused faces up to ten years in prison.
