In the Lipetsk region, the Prosecutor’s office seeks payment of a young mother for the birth of the first child

A resident of the Yelets district was denied a regional payment for the birth of her first child because she gave birth to him before the age of majority. Now the prosecutor’s office is trying to restore the woman’s right to social support.

As reported in the Prosecutor’s office of the Lipetsk region, the woman applied for a lump sum payment to the body of social protection, but was refused. The audit showed that the law was misinterpreted when making the decision.

This is a measure of support provided for by the regional law of December 27, 2021. The prosecutor’s office of the Yelets district sent a lawsuit to the court demanding to recognize the young mother’s right to receive money.

The application is now under consideration. The decision on payment has not yet been made.
