In the Lipetsk region sentenced for attacking a bus driver

The Lipetsk district court announced the verdict of two local residents of 36 and 35 years old, found guilty under Part 2 of Art. 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - hooliganism committed by a group of persons using violence on public transport. This was reported in the joint press service of the judicial system of the region.

According to court materials, in February 2026, the defendants, who were in a state of alcoholic intoxication, entered the cabin of the bus. At the stop, a verbal conflict broke out between them and the driver, which quickly escalated into physical abuse. The 36-year-old man struck the victim at least five punches in the head, torso and hands. His 35-year-old acquaintance joined the attack, with at least four similar blows on his account.

Leaving the cabin, one of the attackers broke the window of the bus door. Transport enterprise LLC "Liptrans" was caused material damage in the amount of 50 thousand rubles.

When imposing punishment, the court took into account all the circumstances of the criminal case, data on the identity of the defendants, as well as recognized mitigating circumstances. Each of the defendants was sentenced to imprisonment for 1 year 6 months probation with a probation period of 1 year 6 months.
