In Melitopol, the prosecutor's office checks an accident involving minors on an electric scooter.

The incident occurred on October 4, 2026 on the street of Catherine the Great: a 14-year-old girl, driving an electric scooter with a capacity of 600 W (for such transport you need a driver's license), when leaving the adjacent territory, collided with an Opel Astra car. In the accident injured the driver of the scooter and its 15-year-old passenger – they were taken to the hospital. At the same time, the girl was driving without a license and without a helmet.

During the inspection, the prosecutor’s office will find out the circumstances of the incident, assess compliance with traffic rules and the actions of the participants, as well as check how the legal representatives of teenagers performed their duties and in what condition the road infrastructure is. As a result, a decision will be made on prosecutorial response measures.
