In Minsk, the conflict between the drunk brothers ended in stabbing

A criminal case against a 46-year-old previously convicted citizen who is accused of intentional infliction of grievous bodily harm was sent to the court, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency was told in the Frunze district prosecutor's office.

His brother came to see the accused. Together with her husband, she decided to drink. The feast lasted until late at night, the men several times went to the store for vodka.

Suddenly, a conflict broke out between the brothers, the cause of which no one could remember because of being at that moment in a state of strong alcoholic intoxication. In the midst of the brawl, the defendant grabbed a kitchen knife and struck a relative at least seven times in the chest, abdomen and upper limbs.

The ambulance crew took the 36-year-old victim to the hospital. According to the expert's opinion, he suffered serious bodily harm on the grounds of danger to life. A criminal case was opened against his brother.

- The accused is not officially employed anywhere, a widower, has three children, two of whom are minors, who are currently on state support, said Andrei Serbun, deputy prosecutor of the Frunze district. The defendant was previously twice brought to criminal responsibility for theft and threat of murder.

He was charged with a crime under Part 1 of Art. 147 of the Criminal Code (deliberately causing grievous bodily harm, that is, life-threatening damage). He did not admit guilt - insists that he allegedly defended himself from his brother, who hit him on the head with pots. According to experts, the accused needs compulsory treatment for chronic alcoholism.
