In Minsk, a store employee stole more than 1,000 BYN from the cash register

A criminal case has been sent to the court against a 28-year-old previously unconvicted resident of the capital, who is accused of misappropriating the entrusted property, the correspondent of the Minsk-Novosti agency was told in the prosecutor's office of the Soviet district.

From July to August 2026, the defendant worked as a cashier in a store on the street. M. Bogdanovich was a financially responsible person. One day, she noticed that the supervisor had forgotten the card, which is used to cancel purchases, at the next checkout, and quietly took it. Further, when calculating buyers, the attacker did not issue checks to some of them, canceled their purchases, taking the money for herself.

It is established that during the month the dishonest employee thus appropriated 1,310.82 BYN. When it was revealed, a criminal case was opened against a resident of the capital.

- The accused is officially employed, has not previously been brought to criminal responsibility, said Dmitry Klebanov, deputy prosecutor of the Soviet district. She was charged with embezzling property by the person entrusted to him, that is, committing a crime under Part 1 of Article 211 of the Criminal Code. The citizen fully admitted the guilt, repented of what she had done.
