In Moscow completed the investigation of the criminal case against a man who during a bike ride damaged two gates. As reported on November 8 in the Moscow Prosecutor’s office, the offender was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
According to the preliminary version, the cyclist decided not to waste time bypassing obstacles and forcefully bent the plastic arrows of barriers. One of them was disabled at the beginning of the trip, and the second damaged on the way back. As a result, both devices ceased to function normally.
During the trial, the Muscovite did not deny his involvement in the incident. He explained the behavior by the effect of alcohol, admitted guilt and compensated the owners of the equipment for all the damage.
Despite the damages, the man will have to answer for his actions in court. The prosecutor’s office approved the indictment under Article 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for liability for vandalism. The materials of the criminal case were sent to the court for further consideration.
