Investigators in the Nerekhta district completed the investigation of the criminal case on the fact of illegal sale of drugs*.

A 50-year-old resident of the village of Yakushovka grew cannabis plants for personal use and subsequent sale. In May of this year, the criminal investigation officers detained the suspect at the time of sale.

2.74 grams of marijuana seized. Another 57.92 grams of the drug were found.

During the investigation, it turned out that the defendant switched to prohibited substances in 2023, deciding to give up alcohol.

The case materials under Part 1 of Art. 228.1 and Part 3 of Art. 30, Part 3 of Art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation were transferred to the court. The sanction provides for up to 20 years in prison.

Illegal consumption of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues causes harm to health, their illegal trafficking is prohibited and entails liability established by law.
