A 38-year-old resident of Novocheboksarsk became a defendant in a criminal case after an attempt to transfer money to a traffic police officer. The Investigative Committee is investigating the case of attempted bribery.
According to investigators, on September 25, the man tried to escape from traffic police inspectors to avoid administrative liability. On the street he lost control of the car and was forced to stop.
After that, according to investigators, the driver tried to transfer a bribe to the inspector. The policeman refused money and stopped illegal actions.
The investigative department in Novocheboksarsk opened a criminal case under part 3 of Article 30 and part 1 of Article 291.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - an attempt to give a bribe in an amount not exceeding 10 thousand rubles.
Now investigators establish all the circumstances of the incident, collect and consolidate evidence.
