In Novomoskovsk, the grand opening of the updated “Fairy Tale” square took place

In Novomoskovsk, the grand opening of the updated “Fairy Tale” square took place. The work was carried out within the framework of the national project “Infrastructure for Life”. Last year, about 10 thousand residents of the city voted for the improvement of this territory, the governor of the Tula region Dmitry Milyaev said.
In the park, mirror fountains-spheres, swings with canopies and sun loungers were installed, a children's playground and areas for a quiet rest were equipped. Lighting and a video surveillance system also appeared on the territory.
Interactive elements were provided for children: metal recorders, chalkboard and gaming equipment. The opening of the square was accompanied by a symbolic launch of fountains, a festive concert and an animation program.
The improvement of public spaces remains one of the directions of preparation of Novomoskovsk for the 100th anniversary. Since 2017, 19 public spaces and 151 courtyards have been updated in the city as part of the federal project “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment”. In addition, two major projects were implemented - the winner of the All-Russian competition: Birch Grove and the square named after the 30th anniversary of the Komsomol. Almost 1 billion rubles were allocated for these purposes.
When choosing territories for transformation, the opinion of citizens is taken into account: it is the residents who determine which public spaces need updating.
Earlier, “MK in Tula” told about the restoration of houses in Novomoskovsk, damaged after the fall of the wreckage of the drone. Vladimir Tokarev, together with the Minister of Internal Policy of the region Dmitry Yartsev, examined the progress of work and reported that the repair is being carried out in an enhanced mode.
