In Novosibirsk, a woman lured 1.6 million allegedly for surgery after an accident

The court found that in June 2026, the woman, along with other participants in the scheme, called the victim and reported that her cousin allegedly got into an accident and he urgently needed money for the operation.

After that, Tsarenkova came to the woman’s house on Stepnoy Street, introduced herself as a friend of her relative and took 1.6 million rubles.

In court, the accused fully admitted guilt. The damage caused to the victim was compensated in full.

The court appointed Tsarenkova three years of suspended imprisonment with a probation period of two years.

The sentence has not yet entered into force.

Earlier, "MK in Novosibirsk" reported that the former head of the deptrans of Novosibirsk was given 1.5 years in prison for a subsidy of 48 million.
