In the Ostrovetsky district detained a local resident with a drone
Smorgon border guards detained a resident of the Ostrovetsky district with a drone in the forest. Weather balloons and radio stations were found in his car. An administrative process is underway.
In the forest of the Ostrovetsky district, border guards detained a citizen of Belarus on October 1. This is reported by the State Border Committee.
The detention was carried out by officers of the Smorgon border group. When a man who was in the forest, found an unmanned aerial vehicle and components for it.
Later, during the search at the place of residence of the violator, a Volkswagen car, weather balloons and radio stations were found. All seized items are sent for examination.
Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the man. He is suspected of violating the border regime (Part 1 of Art. 24.19 of the Administrative Code) and illegal actions against civil unmanned aerial vehicles (Part 1 of Art. 18.38 of the Administrative Code). According to the set of violations, he faces a fine of up to 100 basic values with the confiscation of the drone.
