In Ostrovsky, the master of the forest stole 9 cubic meters of foreign lumber

In the village of Ostrovsky, criminal investigation officers uncovered the theft of wood.

The police was contacted by a local businessman, who announced the loss of forest from a common site for storage.

During the operational activities, it turned out that the site is used by two different companies. Suspicion fell on the master of the forest of one of the companies. The man did not deny guilt: he admitted that he did not have enough of his own deforested forest to fulfill the urgent order, so he decided to take 9 cubic meters of someone else's lumber.

The damage caused to the owner of the wood amounted to 44 thousand rubles.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against the suspect under Part 1 of Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (theft). The man repented of what he had done and promised to fully compensate the entrepreneur.
