In St. Petersburg, 16-year-old died after drinking a “cocktail” from the marketplace
The teenager ordered a food additive, but, according to the lawyer, could confuse it with the banned toxic salt.

In St. Petersburg, they are investigating the death of a 16-year-old schoolboy who died on September 15, 2024 after using a substance from a marketplace. This is reported by the “Russian newspaper”.
The teenager, who was fond of sports, ordered a food supplement on September 8. According to lawyer Vitaly Gudkov, the young man could confuse it with a toxic industrial salt, which has an identical name. The substance of the first class of danger, causing severe damage to the nervous system and liver, is prohibited for retail sale. Despite this, on September 14, the teenager was given an order, and the next day his body was found in a forest in Zelenogorsk next to a thermal circle in which the remains of the chemical remained.
Investigators refused to initiate a criminal case under the article on the provision of unsafe services, limiting themselves to checking Rospotrebnadzor. It turned out that the manufacturer of goods at the specified address does not exist - there is a residential house. The company made only an administrative protocol, and the exact circumstances of the death of the student for two years have not been established.
