On November 3, the world celebrated Cosplay Day, when people dress up as famous or fictional characters.
“Cosplayers” acted according to a typical scheme for scammers. They persuaded the woman to hand over her savings to a courier under the pretext of keeping them in a "safe account." As a result, the victim handed over 2.6 million rubles to a courier in the courtyard of 16 Silver Boulevard. The court clarified that the money was transferred to a minor witness.
Two days later, on November 5, the defendants were detained. One of the suspects objected, and the other two accepted the punishment. They will remain in custody until January 4, 2027.
