In raids on illegal immigrants in Tatarstan opened 170 criminal cases

On October 1-10, the second stage of the federal preventive operation “Illegal – 2026” was held in Tatarstan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.

Police officers, together with other agencies in places where foreigners were concentrated, identified those who were in the country illegally. Also, with the help of the Safe City system and due to control over the provision of public services to foreigners, systematic work with migrants from the register of controlled persons, those who are in Russia without a legal basis, has been strengthened.

In 9 days, more than two thousand administrative protocols were drawn up, more than 170 criminal cases were initiated. Thus, a financial organization for the provision of services to a foreigner from the register of controlled persons was brought to justice.
