In the Russian city organized underground production of the famous brand

In the Vladimir region suppressed the activities of an organized group engaged in the production of counterfeit mattresses under the guise of a well-known brand of goods for sleep. This was reported in the Investigative Department of the IC of the Russian Federation in the region.

A criminal case was initiated against six residents of the Kovrov municipal district (aged 32 to 46 years).

According to the investigation, from September 2025, the accomplices organized an underground workshop in the city of Kovrov and the village of Melekhovo. The work involved a staff of employees, including former employees of the rights holder company.

Advertising for the sale of fakes was placed on popular sites, and for conspiracy, products under their own names were produced in parallel. Preliminary damage to the copyright holder is estimated at not less than 30 million rubles.

As part of the operational activities, a control purchase was carried out. During a large-scale search conducted by investigators together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, special units of Regardie and with the assistance of the security service of the brand, more than 400 units of counterfeit products, equipment, trademarks, documentation and money worth more than 15 million rubles were seized.

Four defendants have already been charged and preventive measures have been chosen. The investigation is ongoing: witnesses are being questioned and property seized is being examined.
