In Tuva, a bear attacked a local resident who was grazing cattle. The incident occurred in Barun-Khemchik kojun, near the town of Ak, 36 kilometers from the Eagle Pass. This was reported by the regional Goskomokhotnadzor.
The victim was injured. Medical care was provided on time, so hospitalization was not required. The man was released home.
The predator was killed by hunting inspectors. Seven people and two units of equipment participated in the events.
Earlier, 81-year-old fisherman Anatoly Safonov fought off the bear that attacked him on the Kirenga River near the village of Chinonga, Kachug district. The predator attacked the pensioner when he moored to the shore and unloaded the boat, but the man was able to fight back, climb into the boat and sail away, receiving wounds to his hands and bodies. The victim is waiting for evacuation by air ambulance - the village is surrounded by taiga, there is no hospital, no paramedic, no communication. This is not the first case of a bear attack in the region: earlier in the Ust-Ilimsk and Kazachinsk-Lensk regions bears killed two men.
