In Shali district in an accident killed a passenger, drivers injured

The fatal accident occurred on October 28 in Shali district. The accident occurred on the 72nd kilometer of the Pervouralsk-Shalya highway, the press service of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Sverdlovsk region reports.

According to preliminary data, the driver of the Ford Focus car (58-year-old local resident with 40 years of driving experience) was moving towards the village of Shalia. The man chose an unsafe speed, failed to control and went to the oncoming lane, where he collided with the crossover “Jaecoo J6”. The driver of the second car was a 70-year-old resident of Upper Pyshma (trainee – 19 years).

As a result of the accident, a passenger of the Ford Focus – a 70-year-old man from the village of Sylva – died on the spot before the ambulance arrived. Both drivers received injuries of varying severity, they are being treated.

DPS inspectors conducted an examination: at the time of the accident, both drivers were sober.

Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate and the investigative and operational group establish the circumstances and causes of the accident, an investigation is scheduled.

Earlier, MK-Ural wrote that on October 23, an accident occurred on the 120th kilometer of the Yekaterinburg-Tyumen highway (Kamyshlovsky district), in which two people died. According to preliminary data, there was a mass accident involving two trucks and one passenger car. Both trucks caught fire after the accident.
