In Simferopol, the court sentenced a previously convicted 42-year-old local resident to imprisonment for intentional damage to someone else’s property by arson. This was reported in the Prosecutor’s office of Crimea.
As the court established, in May 2025, a drunk man noticed a parked Lada Niva in the yard of an apartment building and decided to set it on fire. He brought the lighter to the rear splasher, as a result of which the car was damaged, and the amount of damage exceeded 200 thousand rubles. At the same time, he had previously been prosecuted for theft and intentional damage to someone else’s property, but he did not draw proper conclusions for himself.
According to the verdict of the court, the man will spend 3 years in a correctional colony of strict regime.
Earlier it was reported that in the Saka district, the police uncovered the arson of the car of a local resident. Initially, she suspected her ex-husband, but operatives found that the car was burned by his 33-year-old friend, who decided to “stand up” for a friend.
