The New York Times newspaper, citing local police, reports that five people died in a shooting in Georgia. According to the publication, the incident in the city of Douglas was associated with domestic violence, five people were fatally injured.
The head of the local police Brennan Pruet in a conversation with reporters said that a few hours before the tragedy, the police called a woman who complained that her husband smokes in the house. Later, police arrived at the scene after reports of shooting and found four bodies, as well as one wounded, who later died in hospital.
The motive for the crime remains unknown. At the same time, law enforcement officials believe that the suspect committed suicide, although the exact number of shooters was not named.
