All 44 evacuated residents were accommodated in a hotel in coordination with the prefecture. At the scene, the search continues for three people aged 20, 40 and 60, who may be under the rubble.
Earlier, as a result of the collapse, two people died, ten more were rescued. Six victims remain in hospitals, one of them is assessed as serious. Rescuers are also conducting a controlled demolition of the building to prevent it from falling on neighboring houses.
The incident occurred on the morning of October 8 in the quarter of Jevizli. The building collapsed three floors on one side. The house was built in 1987, and later illegally added two more floors. The Istanbul prosecutor's office is investigating the incident and has detained the architect and construction chief.
