In Surgut, Mazda 3 hit a 17-year-old pedestrian – a teenager died on the spot

In Surgut on October 26, 2026 at about 18:20 on Melik-Karamov Street, 1/1, the driver of the Mazda 3, 1981, did not give way to a pedestrian and hit a young man born in 2009. The teenager was crossing the roadway on an unregulated pedestrian crossing.

From his injuries, the 17-year-old died on the spot - before the ambulance arrived. According to Ugra police, law enforcement officers recorded the situation, began to find out the details of the accident, and investigators are collecting evidence, including studying recordings from cameras.

At the scene of the accident, an investigative and operational group and employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate work, all the circumstances of the incident are established; the investigation is under the control of the supervisory authority.
