In Tula arrested a police officer who for 200 thousand promised to hush up the case

The station district court of Tula sent into custody the deputy head of the department of district police commissioners of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Bogoroditsky”. The woman is accused of taking a bribe. This “MK in Tula” was reported in the joint press service of the courts and the USD region.

According to investigators, in October 2026, while on duty, she offered the victim for 200 thousand rubles to settle the issue with the criminal case. It was a forgery of a driving licence involving the applicant’s son.

The man acted under the control of law enforcement officers: in the car on the street Dmitry Ulyanov in Tula, he handed over the money to an official, after which the woman was detained.

On October 10, the court chose her preventive measure in the form of detention for 1 month 29 days. The ruling has not yet entered into force and can be appealed. Receiving a large bribe is punishable by a fine of 2 to 4 million rubles or imprisonment for a period of 7 to 12 years with a fine.

Earlier, “MK in Tula” reported that the Don city court fined a local entrepreneur 300,000 rubles for trying to bribe a police officer. The man wanted to evade responsibility for the sale and possession of unmarked cigarettes and the next day after the inspection put 50 thousand rubles in a folder on the desk of the Deputy chief of police.
