In Tula will announce the sentence of a man for arson of foreign cars in the parking lot and in the garage

In the Proletarian district court of Tula on October 12 will announce the verdict previously convicted local resident A., who is accused of setting fire to two cars. The man is charged with two crimes under Part 2 of Art. 167 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - the deliberate destruction of someone else's property from hooligan motives by arson, told "MK in Tula" in the joint press service of the constricts and the regional police department.

According to the investigation, on the evening of May 10, 2025, A. and another defendant, whose criminal case has been suspended, set fire to a Mazda 6 car in one of the garages of the cooperative in the Proletarian district of Tula. This happened between 20:05 and 20:55. After the arson, the men fled. The owner of the car suffered damage in the amount of 418 thousand rubles.

That same evening, from about 21:00 to 21:15, they set fire to another car, the Daewoo Nexia. The car was in a parking lot near an apartment building in the Proletarian district. The amount of damage amounted to 218 thousand rubles.

During the preliminary investigation, the accused was given a preventive measure in the form of a subscription not to leave and proper behavior.

The court examined the testimony of the defendant, victims and witnesses, written materials of the case, as well as documents characterizing the accused. The parties spoke in the debate, after which the man gave the last word.

The court has now retired to the deliberation room for a decision. The verdict will be announced on October 12 at 10:30 in the building of the Proletarian District Court of Tula on Marata Street, 162a.
