In Shchekino, the court sentenced the participants of an organized group engaged in illegal drug trafficking in the Tula region. The defendants received from 9 to 15 years of imprisonment.

As reported in the Prosecutor’s office of the region, the group members received large consignments of drugs and organized stashes in the Shchekin district.

Illegal activities were stopped by law enforcement officers in March 2026. During the events, more than 0.5 kilograms of narcotic drugs were seized from illegal trafficking.

Taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, the court sentenced the defendants to imprisonment for terms from 9 to 15 years. His convicts will serve in a correctional colony of strict regime.
