A major road accident occurred in the Turkish province of Manisa, where a tourist bus collided with a tow truck. The victims of the tragedy were 11 people, another 27 were injured.
“The tragedy unfolded around 11:00 am in the area of Ahisar near the toll point on the highway Gebze-Orkhangazi-Izmir” – said the representative of NTV in the Aegean region Merich Ak.
After receiving alarm signals to the place immediately pulled the emergency services.
The office of the governor of Manisa province clarified the details of the incident: “Today at 11:11 it was reported that a tourist bus and a tow truck en route from Bursa to Izmir were involved in an accident near the entrance to the Ahisar highway.”.
The local administration added that rescue operations began immediately, and the victims were urgently distributed to hospitals.
“As a result of the accident, 11 of our citizens were killed and 27 were injured. The victims were taken to hospitals. We express our condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the victims, the statement said.
