In Ulan-Ude transport police uncovered the theft of a large amount of money in the car-restaurant

The director of the dining car, following the train No10 on the route Moscow-Vladivostok, filed an application to the duty part of the Ulan-Ude linear department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on transport. He reported the theft of his wallet, which was 90 thousand rubles. According to the applicant, the theft occurred in the dining car, where the wallet was lying on the bar counter.

According to the press service of the East Siberian Linear Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia on transport, transport police officers quickly identified and detained the alleged culprit. It turned out to be a 54-year-old resident of Irkutsk, who was traveling in the same train from Irkutsk station to Priiskovaya station. The detainee admitted that he took the money out of his wallet and hid it under his pillow in his bed. He threw the wallet on the railway tracks through the transition platform between the cars.

Most of the stolen money was recovered. Some of the money was spent during the trip.

A criminal case has been opened on this fact, investigative actions are continuing.
