In Volgograd, the investigation of the criminal case on commercial bribery has been completed - materials with the approved indictment have already been transferred to the court. The defendant is the former head of the structural unit of a commercial organization.
According to the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Volgograd region, the man is charged with 4 episodes of commercial bribery in large and especially large sizes. Illegal actions cover a four-year period – from 2020 to 2024.
As the employees of the Second Department for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases found out, the accused systematically used his official powers in the interests of a limited number of counterparties. In particular, he facilitated the conclusion and renewal of contracts, lobbied individual suppliers to senior management, guaranteed the acceptance of their work, and deliberately did not organize the search for alternative contractors.
The total amount of illegally obtained funds exceeded 6 million rubles. The regional investigative committee emphasizes that the evidence base has been formed in full, and all the circumstances of the case are confirmed by the collected materials. Now the question of guilt will be decided by the court.
