In the Volgograd region drunk driver received a year of forced labor

A 28-year-old resident of the Dubovsky district appeared in court on charges of repeated drunk driving (part 2 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The state prosecution in the process was represented by the district prosecutor Lyudmila Germasheva.

As it turned out, the man was already convicted for a similar offense. However, this did not stop him: he again drank alcohol and drove the car of his friend. The DPS crew stopped the offender on the road, but he categorically refused to undergo a medical examination.

The court did not show leniency to the recidivist - the defendant was sentenced to one year of forced labor. In addition, he is deprived of the right to drive any vehicle for three years.
