In Volgorechensk, a 19-year-old girl was deceived according to the classic scheme with a “courier”

In Volgorechensk, police are investigating a case of fraud, the victim of which was a 19-year-old local resident.

The girl lost 200 thousand rubles, trying to get a “free bouquet of flowers”.

In the morning, the girl got a call in the messenger. The attacker introduced himself as a delivery courier and reported that a bouquet of flowers had come to her name.

To confirm receipt, he asked to dictate the code from the SMS. As soon as the girl called the numbers, she immediately received a notification that her personal data was stolen and a power of attorney for managing accounts was issued.

Scared, the girl called back the number from the message. The operator reported that she was the victim of fraudsters and convinced her to “save” the money. Following the instructions, Volgorechenka turned on the screen demonstration, entered banking applications, closed savings accounts and transferred all funds to the account of a relative.

When the girl asked to return the money back, 200 thousand rubles disappeared from the account of a relative right before her eyes. Realizing the fraud, the victim blocked the card and went to the police.
