In Voronezh, a 26-year-old courier of fraudsters received a sentence for deception for 1.5 million women with disabilities

The court found that in December 2025, a 26-year-old resident of the Repievsky district, acting in collusion with unknown persons (whose materials were allocated to a separate proceeding), by deception stole funds from a pensioner from Voronezh. The woman is a disabled person of the second group. The attackers misled the victim, convincing her that it is necessary to transfer their savings to prevent possible fraud.

The young man, acting as a courier, came to the victim and took 1.5 million rubles from her. After that, he transferred the money to the accomplices of the crime, keeping a percentage of the cash.

The Leninsky District Court of Voronezh found the courier guilty under the article on fraud by prior conspiracy (part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The convict received a sentence of imprisonment for a period of 3 years, which he will serve in a general regime correctional colony.

In addition, the court granted the civil suit of the prosecutor, obliging the convicted person to compensate the victim for the full amount of damage caused.
