In Yartsevskaya high-rise building because of the fire evacuated residents

In the evening in the city of Yartsevo, Smolensk region on the street Maxim Gorky there was a fire in the entrance of an apartment building. The fire began in the vestibule of the first floor, where the wooden door of the communication room lit up, after which the combustion products spread through the stairwell from the first to the fourth floor.

Units of the 52nd and 19th fire and rescue units of the EMERCOM of Russia quickly arrived at the scene. Due to the dense smoke, the work of rescuers was complicated, but they managed to evacuate eight people along the stairs, including four children. No one was injured in the incident.

The fire destroyed property in the vestibule, including a children's bicycle, a snowmobile and a baby carriage. The cause of the fire was careless handling of fire. It was noted that the vestibule was actually used as a pantry, which created an additional threat to human life.

According to the current rules of the fire regime in the Russian Federation, the storage of things, furniture and combustible materials on stairwells, marches, in tambours and on evacuation routes is prohibited. For violation of these requirements, administrative liability is provided: fines for citizens range from 5,000 to 15,000 rubles, for officials - from 20,000 to 30,000 rubles, and for legal entities - from 300,000 to 400,000 rubles.

The EMERCOM of Russia recommends residents not to allow the storage of personal belongings in public places. If cluttering of evacuation routes is detected, you should contact the management organization or HOA, and in case of their inaction, send an appeal to the state fire supervision authorities. In the event of an emergency, the numbers 101 or 112 must be used.
