In Yaroslavl sentenced two participants in the case of counterfeit alcohol

In Yaroslavl, the court considered a criminal case on illegal production and trafficking of alcohol-containing products on an especially large scale. Two local residents were put on trial.

Illegal production law enforcement officers found in August 2024. During the search at the enterprise found more than 34 thousand bottles of finished alcoholic beverages with fake excise stamps. The cost of the seized goods was estimated at about 7 million rubles.

In addition, law enforcement officers found more than 5.6 thousand liters of ethyl alcohol, more than 2 thousand liters of alcohol-containing products, as well as documents that could indicate illegal financial and economic activities.

One of the defendants received three years of imprisonment while serving his sentence in a high-security correctional colony. The second court appointed two years probation.

The sentence has not yet entered into force.
