In Zheleznogorsk found a driver who rammed a traffic light and abandoned the car

In the Kursk region in Zheleznogorsk, traffic police officers revealed the circumstances of the accident that occurred at the intersection of Lenin and October streets. As it turned out, the driver of the domestic “tens” did not cope with the control, as a result of which the car crashed into a traffic light. From a strong impact, the structure collapsed on the road.

Arrived at the scene, the police found that the culprit of the accident fled, abandoning the vehicle about 20 meters from the scene. In the course of operational measures, the guards established the identity of the owner of the car - it turned out to be a 32-year-old local resident, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kursk region said.

The man explained to police that his nephew was driving at the time of the collision. The young man, frightened by the consequences, fled the scene of the accident, but on the phone reported the incident to a relative. The uncle arrived at the scene intoxicated and drove the wrecked car away from the intersection.

A medical examination confirmed that the owner of the car was drunk: the breathalyzer showed 0.589 mg / l in exhaled air, which is much higher than the permissible norm. In respect of the man, a protocol was drawn up under Part 1 of Article 12.8 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.

The identity of the culprit was also established within a few hours. While inspectors were examining CCTV footage to gather evidence, the young man returned to the seized vehicle. It turned out that he did not have the rights to manage the transport. The guy took the car of relatives to ride, and after hitting a traffic light, he was scared and ran home.

In relation to the young man, administrative protocols were drawn up at once under several articles: part 1 of Article 12.7 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (management of the Customs Union without rights), part 2 of Article 12.27 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (leaving the place of an accident) and article 12.33 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation (damage to road structures), the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kursk region reported.
