A resident of the city of Vichuga, Ivanovo region was convicted of malicious evasion of payment of alimony.
According to the regional prosecutor's office, based on the court decision, the 5-year-old boy had to receive monthly maintenance from his father, but the man ignored his duties.
In September 2025, the debtor was already brought to administrative responsibility, but this did not have an effect - he never officially got a job and did not begin to repay the debt. The total amount of debt exceeded 1.1 million rubles.
The court found the foreigner guilty of a criminal offense and sentenced him to 5 months of forced labor with the retention of 10% of earnings in the state income.
