Kostroma authorities warned about a fake document on anti-terrorist exercises

A fake document allegedly released on behalf of the Kostroma administration is spreading on social media. It contains the requirement to provide security forces with access to residential buildings for anti-terrorist exercises.

According to the text circulated, tenants are ordered to vacate roofs and basements, clear attics and technical floors, and allow access to operational staff. However, as KO44 found out, the document is not authentic.

A source close to the authorities drew attention to signs of forgery: the text includes names of organizations that do not exist, and wording that is not provided for by legal documents of the city administration. According to him, when creating a fake could use neural networks.

Residents are advised not to trust such reports without verification and to check official documents with publications on public resources, including on the portal of legal information pravo.gov.ru.
